Wales national football team and FC Real Madrid midfielder Gareth Bale stated that the winning goal, which he scored for Real and against FC Barcelona in the Copa del Rey (Spanish Cup) final, is similar to another goal he had netted.
“I actually scored a similar goal for Wales not too long ago where I had to run off the pitch so I was just trying to get round him any way I could and carry on.
“Thankfully, the goal came at the end of it. The only thing I was thinking was that I had to get round him. I just had my eyes on the ball.
“[But] I haven’t seen it back yet,” The Guardian quotes Bale as saying.
The Welsh international’s El Clásico winning goal in Valencia on Wednesday came in the 85th minute. On his way to scoring this goal Gareth Bale had run at a speed of up to 34.7 km/h.
