FC Anzhi Makhachkala have advanced to the round of 8 in the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) Europa League.
The Russian club defeated K.R.C. Genk (Belgium), and by a score of 2-0, in their round-of-16 return-leg away match.
Armenia national squad midfielder Karlen Mkrtchyan was in Anzhi’s starting eleven, and he was substituted in the 3rd minute of extra time.
